New Orleans police found a very disturbing crime scene at a New Orleans' residence.  They found a charred head in a pot on the stove, feet and legs baked in the oven, and the rest of the body dismembered in trash bags in the refrigerator.  The man responsible for this horrendous act wrote a suicide note, placed it in his pants pocket, and jumped off the Omni Royals Orleans Hotel to his death.  The person he brutalized and cooked was supposedly his girlfriend in her mid 20s.

The five-page suicide note claimed that he strangled her in the bathtub then dismembered her body before taking it in pieces to the kitchen.  Police found the victim's head burned beyond recognition in a pot on top of the stove and her legs and feet in the same condition in pans inside the oven.

The man responsible apparently had lived in the New Orleans area, and friends say he served in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan and displayed bitterness over that experience.

Only in Louisiana will you find something this horrendous.  I am a resident of Louisiana and have been for all of my life (only 22 years).  I would just like to make the record clear that this isn't a normal occurrence.  I don't know what your ideas of people from Louisiana are, but I can say with confidence that we are no different that any of you.  Don't believe everything you see on TV about this great state.

Back to the story.  This is a real horrible ordeal.  I have no idea what goes through someone's mind at the time they decide to cut up their girlfriend and cook her body parts.  I don't know if after he cooked her if he did in fact eat part of her but based on what I read, I wouldn't put it past him.  This obviously was a sick individual that was in desperate need of some mental help.  I wish instead of deciding to take his girlfriend's life and then his own that he would have sought some help.  This probably would have prevented this horrible act from happening.
